One course. Three steps to the exam.

E-Learning begins immediately after registration and payment, so no time is wasted waiting for the course to start. The electronic handout is a condensed text covering the scenarios most likely to appear in the PACES exam. Clinical examination videos demonstrate exactly how to examine in each station, the way you are expected to perform on exam day. The handouts and videos give due emphasis to every station — including Stations 2 and 5, with multiple likely scenarios. Because communication skill is pivotal, there are specially designed chapters on it; and since the UK criteria for medical ethics, law and communication are unfamiliar to candidates outside the UK, an exclusive session covers these in depth.

Classes are scheduled in your leisure time — Saturday and Sunday nights, 7 pm to 9 pm, starting 4 weeks before your workshop. The aim is to prime you to complete a full clinical examination in 6 minutes, as required in the real PACES exam. Faculty first deliver the lecture, then you can put your questions on the topic directly to the mentor.

An intensive four-day programme inside a medical college hospital. Each day begins at 8 am and concludes with a feedback session at 6 pm. Individual attention is assured by a 3 : 1 candidate-to-faculty ratio — for every three candidates, one MRCP(UK) with FRCP/DM qualified mentor conducts the station.

Each day starts with morning lectures covering: how to approach the PACES exam, the skills assessed, and the marking system, followed by a detailed discussion of all stations with special emphasis on communication skills, ethics, medico-legal aspects, neurology and Station 5. The neurology sessions cover the basics of neuroanatomy, UMN and LMN lesions of the upper and lower limbs, cranial nerve lesions, and the cerebellar and extrapyramidal systems in detail.

Every candidate personally presents a minimum of two communication scenarios, and each group is exposed to 10–15 scenarios in total. Mistakes are corrected individually in every rotation, and all candidates observe the scenarios given to others, sharing views and clearing doubts together.

From day two, carefully chosen real cases give exposure to all systems, with a variety of exam-type presentations. Each candidate examines every case separately under faculty supervision, guided to pick up the relevant signs by proper method within the limited time and reach the diagnosis. Special emphasis is given to Stations 2 and 5 — medical emergencies and chronic cases in Rheumatology, Immunology, Endocrinology, Haematology, Dermatology and musculoskeletal systems — plus a separate session on fundus examination.

Mock Examination 1 — a complete mock PACES under exact exam timing with typical exam cases, designed to build your ability to withstand the stress and strain of the real exam.

Mock Examination 2 — a second sitting with fresh cases, where your confidence grows sharply after learning from and correcting the mistakes of Exam 1. Both exams are structured so that every candidate can observe all the cases given to others.
